Title IIC Microfilming: Harvard's Contributions

In 1978, the Harvard University Library received the first of a series of grants from the U.S. Department of Education as part of its Strengthening Research Library Resources Program (Title II-C). For the following eleven years, Title II-C grants paid for the filming of 16 million pages from more than 25 special collections throughout the University.

These collections include serials, monographs, and pamphlets covering over 30 subject areas in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Two categories of materials were filmed: fragile materials identified through use, and collections selected for their informational significance. The following publications list the titles now available on microfilm:
